Shopaholic Ties the Knot. Sophie Kinsella.
There is what I considered to be quite an amusing incident involving a shopper held hostage in a dressing room by a shop assistant who knows her boyfriend's ex-wife. But this was another book whose plot hinged on the protagonist telling wholly unnecessary lies, and I didn't think it worth finding the rest of the series.

Not being a person who likes shopping, I avoid chick lit like this where the protagonist shops for the sake of shopping. I can't think offhand of a topic that makes me wince more.
Maybe I should have gone with the earnest & mournful Australians. I might at least have learned something. But I think I was averse to learning anything just at that moment.
I agree-sometimes I just want to read something that doesn't make my brain work too hard.
